We tell stories.
At Big Bazaar Films, we aim to tell stories that travel—bridging cultures, expanding perspectives, and making the Indian subcontinent a vibrant hub for world-class storytelling. Founded by Alexander Harvey, Aritra Sen, and Prantik Mazumdar, the team behind it consists of storytellers united by this shared vision.
Big Bazaar Films’ portfolio includes Forest of Humans, a feature documentary that explores Satyajit Ray’s filmography through the lens of the city—a cinematic journey that examines how urban life shaped his storytelling. Currently in its final stages of post-production, the film is set to be followed by our debut fiction feature, Prantik, which is ready for release.
Big Bazaar Films’ future collaborations include celebrated British playwright Tanika Gupta, who has penned the story for the company’s upcoming feature Niru. The studio is also thrilled to be working with legendary Indian actress and filmmaker Aparna Sen, who will direct Her Indian Summer, a cross-cultural drama set between India and the UK.
